Charities we help
SWING
SWING has spent 20 years as a critical provider of outreach and welfare services to adult entertainment workers in Thailand, and by extension to the surrounding communities. They work tirelessly to safeguard sexual health, promote sex education and prevent HIV infection, as well as providing support formental and sexual health issues and building awareness of gender-based violence. Scores of workers, their families and communities depend on SWING. Their Bangkok and Pattaya offices are a safe haven for diagnosis, treatment and medicine, as well as for legal and psychological counselling and assistance. Bangkok Rainbow
Thailand’s leading LGBTQ+ organization, Bangkok Rainbow was founded in 2002, as a community support, to raise awareness of gender diversity, promote anti-discrimination, and campaign for equal rights. For more info, visit: www.bangkokrainbow.org
ApCom
Asia’s voice and liaison for the LGBTQ2+ community, apcom works with strategic partners to provide equality, dignity and social justice, by encouraging testing, strengthening advocacy, sharing information and building leadership. For more details, visit: apcom.org
Sisters Pattaya
The Sisters Foundation is a community support drop-in center for transgenders in Pattaya, providing medical services, counselling, skill development and club outreach activities, while working to broaden awareness and increase acceptance, for over 15 years. Open Mo-Fr 1pm-9pm.
TEA
TEA (Togetherness for Equality and Action) is a lesbian, queer and bisexual women-led group, founded in 2013, and is committed to building a sustainable, inclusive and empowered LBT movement in Thailand. For more info, visit: www.tearongnamcha.org
RAINBOW SKY ASSOCIATION OF THAILAND
For the empowerment and capacity building of lesbian and transgender women to mitigate violence, stigma and discrimination, based on sexual orientation and gender identity, Rainbow Sky Association of Thailand helps high risk groups through a variety of methods. They promote, prevent, treat and restore good health in the LGBT community; participate in prevention and protection of rights issues, and facilitate access to legal assistance for the community; and work to strengthen equality for the LGBT community.
MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a world-renowned 501 non-profit organization, founded in the United States, helping fulfill the wishes of children with a critical illness, between the ages of 2.5 and 18 years old. Make-A-Wish was founded in 1980 and is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. www.wish.org
